Hi There, this method for removing the timeline will only work for people that installed the timeline before its public release date, and that was around 30th September 2011,You will have to change over to the new timeline at some point so why not do it now.

If you have already installed the time line there are way around removing the timeline and reverting back to your old wall page. I have try this method put personally found it a bit buggy the link to the guys video will be at the bottom of this video on my You Tube channel. sorry guys looks like you are stuck with the new one… you will get used to it. Preparing Your Opt-In List Stage by Stage

An opt-in list is quite simply your collection of emails that you have received through giving away free items just like the Free 7 day SFM boot camp or newsletters; normally from your lead capture page. Opt-in lists are essential for building a relationship with your customers and making long-term sales. Since almost all people do not make any purchases of your products or services on their first visit to your website, an opt-in list allows you to promote to leads which would have otherwise been lost. Without this list, you are leaving a great majority of potential sales on the table.

It is vital to have an Opt-In email list for the following reasons:

- To make sales from leads who aren’t prepared to buy straight away, but may do later on down the line.

- To make sales related sales to people on that list.

- To stay connected with leads that have the potential to buy.

When it comes to building an Opt-In list, the following aspects should be taken into account:

- Information and classification of the specific market you are targeting, this will be very helpful when it comes to designating emails to them containing offers which they may be attracted to.

- Research on your target audience, be aware of their concerns and the kinds of questions they have on their minds, this way you can be in a position to offer assistance. This can be done by visiting forums and other social media sites.

- The list is for promoting business online; if your emails are of no benefit to your target market online they will not be held in high value.

Gaining new subscribers is a more delicate task, but it can go very smoothly for you if you remain patient and use the right strategies.

Below are some points and tips on building an effective, subscriber-friendly Opt-In list:

- You must provide subscribers with an opt-out link in case they need to unsubscribe. If they do decide to do this, then you must remove them from the list within 10 days. This is required by law.

- It is important to have a person’s permission before adding them to your list; otherwise your emails to them will just be marked as junk and will probably never be read

- After you have permission, be quick to send them an introduction or welcome email, so that they know what future emails will look like and how to identify that it’s you before they forget.

“Please select an age display option”. What does this mean?

I wasn’t going to put this on my blog but the reason for me creating this video is for an experiment on getting something that is a short term problem, and using that problem to get traffic .

I found there was a problem with You tube profile setup so I know that there is going to be people searching for the exact key words “Please select an age display option”. What does this mean? I thought I would make a quick video helping to solve the problem that people are getting.

OK in this situation the traffic from You Tube isn’t very targeted, but it was done for an example. You can imagine doing this for a new product or service that people want to solve a problem they have.

So we will see how it goes.

The New Facebook TimelineHi guys, I have been meaning to create this video since I put the new Facebook timeline on my facebook account on 28th of September. I have found the Facebook timeline a refreshing change to Facebook. I have found that a lot of people haven’t got the new facebook time line. I know this because when you install the facebook timeline app and you visit a friend’s wall it still shows up with their old facebook wall time line. Once you have the new timeline and go back to the old time line you realise how much better nicer and Fresher the New Facebook time line really is.

Let me first talk about how I feel about face book and social media, to be quite honest I am not a social person. But saying that, I do like to talk to people about stuff I know about. Ever since I have been online building my internet business I have learnt a tone of stuff about how the Internet works. And I have come to realise that the process of learning will be an ongoing thing if I want to stay a head of the internet marketing industry. I do realise that Facebook and social media is where the traffic is, and with more than half a billion individuals who actively use it I know it is the place to be with my online business.

SPAM ON Facebook A BIG No NoI have always been taught that face book is for making friends and networking with like minded people and sharing stuff. Not, saying hallo and pushing a product in front of my eyes I think that is called “SPAM” and it is a BIG turn off. This is how 80% of the people I have added as a friend have done. I believe it isn’t there fault they haven’t been taught the correct way to use Facebook as a marketing platform.

I have been taught to build a friend ship with people that you have stuff in common with and let them find out what you do when the time is right for them. I have found that people don’t like to be sold to but people like to by. Have you ever walked in to a shop and the sales assistant is following you around the shop trying to sell you something, what a put off. I end up leaving the shop and going to another shop. When people want to by they will ask you and if they are your friend they will ask you for your help. People buy from people they like and trust. So pushing your product in front of people’s eyes on face book is a BIG NO NO. Sorry about the bit of a moan I just had to get it off my chest. Thats how I feel
